Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced individual to join our team as a REACH Scientist. This role focuses on applying advanced mass spectrometry techniques to ensure compliance with European REACH regulations. While prior experience with REACH is not required, expertise in mass spectrometry is crucial. The ideal candidate will exhibit analytical creativity and a collaborative approach to address complex chemical characterization challenges. Responsibilities
- Operate and execute mass spectrometry analyses as directed by the Mass Spectrometry Head.
- Conduct experiments and interpret data to support European REACH regulatory compliance.
- Communicate findings through formal scientific reports and verbal presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other scientists to compile and align data for comprehensive reporting.
- Participate in administrative functions, including safety programs, performance culture initiatives, and HR systems.
- Apply advanced techniques using GCMS and LCMSMS for complex mixture analysis.
- Innovate in analytical method development, including separations, ionization parameters, and result optimization.
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of experience, or BS/MS with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in mass spectrometry.
- Advanced expertise in various types of mass spectrometry.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including live presentations.
- Basic knowledge of lubricant chemistry is a plus.
