Automation Personnel Services is looking for a n entry-level Chemist for a company based in Largo , FL . In this role, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while being a key part of a dynamic team in a fast-growing manufacturer of pharmaceutical products.
Pay Rate
$ 26.00 per hou r .
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday , 6 : 00 p m to 2 : 30 p m. Must be flexible with schedule and will ing to work overtime.
Chemist Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that raw materials, finished products, and stability samples are tested in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Conduct ID testing using techniques such as TLC, FT-IR, and composition testing, ensuring adherence to USP monographs and general chapters.
• Perform Wet Chemistry testing, including loss on drying, Karl Fischer, pH measurements, titrations, and solution preparations.
• Support daily laboratory operations, including glassware cleaning, solvent waste disposal, and balance calibrations (daily/weekly).
• Assist senior Quality Control Chemists as requested.
• Conduct strength testing using HPLC, GC, and/or ICP.
• Contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Lab Supervisor or Management.
• Be prepared to work holidays and weekends as required by the Quality Control Lab Supervisor/Management.

C hemis t Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field.
• Entry level position
• Proficiency in operating, analyzing data from, and troubleshooting general lab instrumentation.
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze data in line with internal specifications and USP requirements.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks and handle samples effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt and learn cGMP guidelines, 21 CFR 111, SOPs, and Batch Records.
• Knowledge of 21 CFR 210 and 211 is desirable.
• Competence with computer software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral, in English; ability to follow detailed instructions.
