Within the Laboratory Departmentsupporting emergency, surgical, and inpatient servicesthe Medical Laboratory Manager leads a highly skilled team to deliver comprehensive diagnostics. This Manager will lead clinical laboratory operations across multiple sections, including blood bank, microbiology, hematology, and clinical chemistry. Another key aspect of the Managers role will be to maintain regulatory readiness, ensuring CLIA, The Joint Commission, and CA Department of Health compliance.

As part of the leadership team, the Medical Laboratory Manager reports to the Administrative Laboratory Director and collaborates with supportive nurses and a diverse interprofessional group. Supervising day-to-day operations of CLS and Lab Assistants, directing workload distribution, enforcing protocols, and maintaining compliance, this leader will play a key role in the Medical Laboratorys activities. Typically, this role is well-suited for someone able to apply mastery of scientific principles, technical and procedural testing methods, and a broad comprehension of physiology, biochemistry, immunology, microbiology, and genetics.
