Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule
Typical schedule: 40-44 hours per week
Shift rotation: Days (3 months) Nights (3 months), repeating
No weekly shift changes
Weekend and holiday work required
Initial training period will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM for the first few weeks before transitioning to assigned shift
Location: ON-SITE, Birmingham, AL
Sirius Staffing is seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator to join our client's chemical production facility. This role is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of various equipment and systems. You will be operating equipment, following established procedures, and assisting with installation and maintenance activities to ensure the consistent and reliable manufacturing of high-quality chemical products.
Key Responsibilities
Operate basic equipment and perform routine operational tasks following detailed instructions
Execute tasks within established processes and defined parameters
Assist with equipment and appliance installation, including setup and preparation
Support maintenance and repair activities under guidance
Follow strict quality standards and support quality assurance processes
Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with basic reporting and documentation of operational activities
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a manufacturing, operations, or industrial environment preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after training
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures
Basic verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete tasks efficiently
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards
Additional Requirements
Must successfully complete a fit test and general physical examination
Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment
