Its solutions play a key role in enabling efficient energy use, reliability, and durability in advanced industrial and infrastructure systems.The St. Louis location serves as a key research, development, and manufacturing hub focused on polymer formulation, product development, and application engineering for insulation and encapsulation systems. Teams at this site work closely with customers and global engineering teams to develop next-generation materials that meet evolving performance, thermal, and electrical requirements.The organization supports customers across industries such as electric motors, electric vehicles, transformers, renewable energy systems, power distribution, and high-performance electronics, including data center infrastructure and advanced manufacturing.The Sr. Chemist will be responsible for developing and optimizing advanced polymer systems, including dual cure technologies, to meet the performance demands of high-reliability electrical and electronic applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and formulate advanced polymer systems, including dual cure materials, resins, coatings, and insulation products for electrical and electronic applications.Conduct polymer synthesis, material characterization, and performance testing to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.Collaborate with cross functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and applications to translate customer requirements into scalable material solutions.Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and optimize material properties such as thermal stability, electrical insulation, and mechanical performance.Support product commercialization through documentation, technical reporting, and close coordination with production teams to ensure manufacturability and quality standards.Required and Preferred QualificationsBachelors degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with approximately 5 to 8 years of experience in polymer chemistry or materials development.Strong background in polymer chemistry, including experience with polymer synthesis and dual cure systems.Hands-on laboratory experience with formulation development, testing methods, and analytical techniques for polymers and coatings.Ability to work as an individual contributor in a fast paced R and D environment while collaborating across teams.Nice to have: Experience with electrical insulation materials, coatings for electronics, or applications in EV, transformers, or renewable energy systems; familiarity with scaling formulations from lab to production.BenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kRelocation
