Associate Scientist

Title: Associate Scientist Duration: Minimum 6 months from start date (flexible based on hire date) Core Hours: Approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch break Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biochemistry and hands-on experience with protein purification, especially involving biologic molecules, using various chromatography techniques in a lab-based environment. Proficiency with lab software such as Unicorn, Chromeleon, or ChromeLab is preferred, along with familiarity with lab automation and high-throughput purification workflows. They should demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and robust data handling capabilities, as well as excellent communication skills suited to a fast-paced laboratory setting. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with at least two years of relevant experience or a master's degree with comparable expertise. This is a full-time, onsite position in Thousand Oaks, operating during standard business hours for a minimum duration of six months. Applicants without experience in protein purification or protein analytics will not be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with protein purification, particularly biologic molecules Expertise with a variety of chromatography techniques, liquid chromatography instrumentation (FPLC) and software (Unicorn, ChromLab) Experience with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc) and analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip) Knowledge of lab automation and high throughput purification techniques Ability to multi-task, work flexibly and efficiently in a cross-functional environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Top 3 skills: Experience with protein purification, particularly biologic molecules Experience with a variety of chromatography techniques, liquid chromatography instrumentation (FPLC) and software (Unicorn, ChromLab) Experience with protein analytical techniques (HPLC, MCE, etc) and analysis software (Chromeleon, LabChip). Day to Day: Support pipeline molecules and/or Tech Dev molecules delivery by participating in protein purification and analytics process. Record the results in accurate manner.
