Analytical Chemist

Job Description

We are seeking a Analytical Chemist to join our dynamic team in a laboratory setting focused on quality control. This role involves testing raw materials before they are used in manufacturing, performing wet chemistry testing such as pH, IR, moisture, and ID tests, and eventually engaging in HPLC and GC work. Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing of incoming materials following USDA and EP standards.
  • Perform wet chemistry testing including pH, IR, moisture, and ID tests.
  • Engage in HPLC and GC testing as training progresses.
  • Draft protocols and conduct method verifications and validations as needed.
  • Participate in side tasks to ensure productivity and maintain laboratory operations.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in chemistry, HPLC, GC, and GMP.
  • Strong background in quality control and QC testing.
  • Experience in titration, wet chemistry, and laboratory methods.
  • Ability to perform method validation and method transfer.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related life science field.
  • Undergraduate research experience or summer internship experience.
  • 0-3 years of experience in a GMP environment.
  • Experience in drafting protocols or performing method verifications and validations.
  • Troubleshooting skills with HPLC and GC instrumentation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
