General Summary:
The Analytical Development Research Associate performs a variety of well-dened support functions and performs analytical procedures as outlined by their supervisor. The Analytical Development Research Associate will support the goals and timelines for the analytical development team through timely completion of assay development projects, demonstrate excellent documentation skills and will be responsible for specic lab or Group/Department service functions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Support routine maintenance of stem cells, primary cells and other mammalian cell lines in different culture formats (2D and 3D cell culture).
Support routine analytical testing for in-process, release and characterization assays for flow cytometry, cell-based potency assays, cell count, and cell viability assays using automation systems or manual mode to support cell and gene process development and process characterization
Support collecting samples and distribution to various stakeholders of Cell Culture time course samples.
Utilize automated liquid handling platforms like Hamilton, TECAN, Janus etc to carry out routine cell culture activities and assays.
Involved in the development of novel automated analytical assays including but not limited to measuring cell viability and proliferation using automated fluorescent high content screening tools.
Involved in developing real time monitoring assay to develop model for cell analytics using LumaCyte Radiance Platform.
Update the power BI dashboard for 3D size, Cell viability and cell count on a routine basis.
Maintain meticulous records of experimental workflows, protocols and results and help assist in the generation of documentation to support experiments
Compile information obtained through experimental work into presentations and reports.
Collaborate cross functionally across different teams (PD, AD and other external partners) to ensure timely delivery of data and information.
Occasional weekend and holiday support will be needed for this role
Knowledge and Skills:
Mammalian cell culture methods for different types of stem cells including hematopoietic stem cells , IPSCs, primary cells and cell lines with proper knowledge of aseptic techniques.
Experience working with both 2D and 3D culture of mammalian cells and sample preparation for 3D culture for cell based assays.
Experience operation complex automation equipment including liquid handlers like Hamilton, Tecan, JANUS etc. and other high content screening tools like Celigo, CellVista, Cytation etc
Experience working with fluorescence cell culture assays including cell count and cell viability, immunofluorescence, imaging assays.
Effective inter-personal and communication skills.
Ability to work with urgency and planning to ensure delivery of high-quality data.
Is a creative, curious individual who can pick up laboratory and other skills quickly.
Is able to effectively manage their time to ensure that activities with competing timelines can be done effectively and on time.
Team player, innovative, collaborative, and initiative
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree) and 1-4 years of relevant employment experience
Typically requires 2 years experience in an assay development environment
Hands on experience with 1-2 assay platforms used for characterization and release assays
Pay Range:
$63,100 - $94,600
Disclosure Statement:
The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
