Job Description Join our team as a Chemistry Lab Technician where you will play a vital role in nutritional testing and chemical analysis. Contribute to the development and improvement of high-quality chemical products in a dynamic lab environment at a food manufacturing plant. Responsibilities
- Conduct nutritional testing including moisture, ash, fats, and salts analysis.
- Work with acids and petroleum ether for various laboratory procedures.
- Prepare, weigh, and utilize solutions for chemical analysis.
- Analyze chemical substances to identify their composition.
- Run tests to improve the quality of chemical products.
- Conduct tests for chemical ingredients, substances, and materials.
- Accept samples, prepare media, and perform microbiological and chemical analysis.
- Evaluate results of raw material and finished product samples.
- Conduct shelf life studies, microbiological, chemical, and sensory analysis on raw materials, semi-processed, and finished products.
- Create Certificates of Analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D for developing shelf life studies and setting up new products.
- 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Degree in Chemistry preferred; Biology or related science considered.
- Understanding of basic principles of biochemistry, organic, and inorganic chemistry.
- Basic knowledge of microbiology.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with organizational skills.
- Mathematical aptitude with analytical proficiency.
- Professional communication skills.
- Previous experience in an analytical food industry laboratory preferred but not required.
