Quality Control Specialist Location: Secaucus, NJ Pay: $65,000–$70,000/year Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift | Full-Time

A leading food manufacturing company in Secaucus, NJ is looking for a Quality Control Specialist to join its quality team. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for someone experienced in food safety, compliance, and hands-on production support.

The QC Specialist will report to the Quality Control Manager and support daily inspections, audits, food safety initiatives, and staff training. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality standards and ensuring safe, compliant production.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce quality and food safety standards across all production areas

  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods

  • Support HACCP, allergen control, and other food safety programs in line with GFSI/BRCGS standards

  • Document quality checks, test results, and corrective actions

  • Participate in internal audits and assist with external certification assessments

  • Train and educate production staff on GMPs and company food safety policies

  • Lead traceability and root cause investigations

  • Collect product samples for lab testing

  • Assist with supplier evaluations to confirm compliance

  • Promote a consistent culture of food safety and quality across the facility

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of food quality assurance/control experience

  • Experience with HACCP, GMP, food safety programs, and GFSI or BRCGS frameworks

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel

  • Communication and documentation skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production environment

  • English/Spanish a plus
