Job Summary The Division of Cardiology is seeking a qualified candidate to independently perform experiments in the Campbell Muscle Lab and facilitate biobank operations. This individual will serve as a resource to others in the lab as well as prepare initial data analysis. The primary focus of the position will be to lead the important work of the cardiac biobank. The Research Associate will be responsible for assuring all appropriate agreements are in place for specimen sharing, manage the specimen inventory, assist the director with regulatory compliance activities, and be a liaison with the organ donor team as well as the clinical teams as it relates to specimen procurement. They will also be responsible for ordering supplies and ensuring collection readiness. The Research Associate will be part of the collection team as well as help record relevant clinical data in the REDCap database. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities MS Office suite proficiency; laboratory skills; time management skills. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience Master's degree or equivalent and 5 years related experience preferred.
