Lab Technician
Title: Lab Technician
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 12+ months

What You ll Do:
Technician will work with engineers to arrange general lab services focused on straightforward metrology and material analyses. The testing lab is a fast-paced, hands-on work environment where technicians are expected to be self-motivated and able to multi-task.
Reliable and consistent communication and management of tasks is required to succeed in the role.
Lab Organization and Services:
Receives, sorts, and catalogues samples for incoming requests.
Arranges sample hand-offs and returns with third party lab couriers.
Front-end imaging of samples upon intake.
Returns and/or scraps samples at the end of the investigations.
Analysis:
Receives experiment plan and/or SOPs from engineers.
Prepares samples for analysis and provides to third party labs.
Compiles data, documents findings, and provides summary to Engineers for interpretation and conclusions.
Verifies that all analyses are completed satisfactorily.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. degree in Science or Engineering preferred (Material Science, Chemistry, etc)
Knowledge of material characterization and metrology tools
Familiarity with analytical techniques including:
SEM-EDS
FTIR
CT & 2D X-ray
XPS
Cross Sections
Focused Ion Beams
Experience in handling and preparing samples for analyses
Knowledge of safe work practices in a lab environment and experience working around and handling chemicals.
