Pay rate: $57 - $63/hr.

Role Overview & Responsibilities:

  • This is a highly neurocentric research role, focused on neurological applications and experimental execution.
  • The successful Scientist III will design, execute, and analyze various assays, including in vitro, ex vivo, and downstream assays.
  • Key experimental methodologies involve handling and manipulation of SiRNA.
  • Highly relevant alternative experiences for SiRNA include:
  • General cell culture techniques.
  • RNA isolation and manipulation.
  • iPSC (induced Pluripotent Stem Cell) culture.
  • Daily work will utilize analysis tools like QuantStudio, though experience. Any analytical tool will work.

Required Skills (Must-Haves):

  • Extensive hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, including aseptic technique and troubleshooting.
  • Proven proficiency in PCR or qPCR for gene expression analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Western Blotting for protein analysis.

Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Pharmacology) preferred. Applicants with an M.S. with minimum 5 years of industry experience in one of these disciplines will also be considered.
