Chemical Operator**

2nd shift - 22 per hour

Mon - Friday 4pm - 1:00am

**Job Description**

As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for performing kettle and holding tank washouts in accordance with departmental and formula requirements. You will also be tasked with recording raw material requirements, lot/batch numbers, and consumed quantities on the necessary paperwork and container labels. Your role will involve submitting samples of formulas and raw materials to Quality Control for testing and approval. You will ensure formula batches meet the required specifications by following Production Order Instructions and procedures within the Compounding Departments.

**Responsibilities**

+ Safely use tools such as pumps, hoses, transfer lines, and valves to transfer raw materials and formulas.

+ Lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

+ Wear all applicable PPE and adhere to the Production Floor Employee Dress Code.

+ Execute housekeeping tasks in Compounding work areas to ensure a safe and clean environment.

+ Replace and maintain hoses, gaskets, and connectors as needed.

+ Assist in troubleshooting transfer pumps.

+ Operate forklift and/or pallet jack as needed.

**Essential Skills**

+ Attention to detail

+ Adherence to all safety procedures

+ Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes

+ Experience in chemical mixing, compounding, and batch making

+ Forklift operation

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Chemical experience preferred

+ Basic math, reading, and writing skills

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Emerson, Georgia.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
