Job Description The core function of this role, accounting for 50% of responsibilities, is to support the registration of samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), print and label sets of samples, and organize them for delivery to the appropriate lab for the required testing. Responsibilities- Deliver samples to relevant labs for testing and pull samples for preparation or retesting.
- Stock and order laboratory supplies.
- Sterilize and wash glassware.
- Test hoods for air flow.
- Conduct pH testing and general sample preparation.
- Complete Core method training and Sample Registration Training to understand and support the process flow in the lab accurately.
- Register and deliver reagents and other laboratory supplies to the appropriate lab and storage areas.
- Follow applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), USDA, and quality standards for lab environments.
- Open parcels of samples and laboratory supplies and input them into appropriate systems for use.
- Perform 5S methodology to organize and maintain stocks of inventory, lab supplies, and document and file forms in the work areas.
- Ensure safe use and storage of lab equipment and chemicals.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate around deadlines and testing completion timing.
- 2 or 4-year degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or 4 year degree in a sciences field with a Chemistry minor
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
