Responsibilities
Implement and/or run software(s) for:
Structural analysis of HIV-1 antibody/antigen complexes
Antibody resistance analysis for pathogens with high sequence diversity
Structure-based design to improve antibody potency and breadth for HIV-1 and other pathogens
Structure-based design of immunogens for HIV-1 and other pathogens
Statistical analysis of VRC immunization studies for HIV-1 and other pathogens
Other bioinformatics analysis to assist the missions of Structural Biology and Structural Bioinformatics Core Sections
Express, purify, and characterize protein designs from the Structural Bioinformatics Core Section
Determine atomic-level structures for protein designs from the Structural Bioinformatics Core Section
Assist with creating figures, writing, and proof reading scientific manuscripts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or a related discipline is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience with HIV-1 fusion peptide-directed antibody research
- Prior experience in Python or Perl
- Prior experience with protein modeling programs (e.g. PHENIX, ccp4, Coot, etc.)
- Prior experience with protein visualization software (e.g PyMoL or Chimera)
- Prior experience in protein purification
- Prior experience with protein binding assays, such as ELISA and bio-layer interferometry
- Prior experience in X-ray crystallography
