Description Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both routine and advanced clinical laboratory testingincluding but not limited to chemistry, hematology, and immunologyfollowing established protocols with accuracy and efficiency.
• Evaluate and interpret results meticulously, addressing any discrepancies, and undertake preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Support specimen collection efforts and the preparation of samples as necessary to ensure seamless operations.
• Thoroughly document all procedures, mentor and train new colleagues or interns, and actively contribute to maintaining high lab quality standards.
• Uphold a clean, secure work environment while rigorously adhering to all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelors degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree combined with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certification Requirements

• Achieve ASCP or AMT Board Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) by the end of the first year of employment.
• Maintain current certifications throughout your tenure.
