Clinical Laboratory Scientist

Were seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist to join a dynamic urgent care lab in Lancaster, CA. This role involves performing a broad range of diagnostic tests across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced clinical setting. Ideal for adaptable professionals who thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable covering multiple benches.

• Perform testing in Hematology, Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, Urinalysis, Immunohematology, Serology, and Parasitology
• Operate and maintain lab instruments and equipment
• Conduct quality control procedures and ensure regulatory compliance
• Analyze and interpret test results with accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care
• Assist in training and onboarding of new staff and students
• Flexibly cover multiple lab areas as needed

• Conduct infectious disease testing (HIV, Hepatitis, Syphilis, COVID-19 )
• Run autoimmune panels and titer testing
• Utilize ELISA and chemiluminescence platforms
• Interpret antigen-antibody interactions and troubleshoot discrepancies

• Training Period: Full-time, MondayFriday, 8/9 AM5 PM (26 weeks)
• Coverage Needs: Full-time hours expected due to staff LOAs
• Shifts: 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM, 3x/week or more
• Evening & Weekend Coverage: High demand across 7 days
• On-Call: Monthly scheduling
• Open to: Full-time and part-time candidates

• Valid California CLS license
• Bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
• 12 years of experience preferred (acute care hospital setting ideal)
• New grads considered if highly adaptable and knowledgeable
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Small urgent care lab supporting ambulatory and outpatient specialties
• Moderate volume: ~400 specimens/day, ~300,000/month
• No tissue specimens
• Flexibility to cover 23 benches as needed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
