Job DescriptionEurofins PSS is seeking a Scientist to support a clients formulation and process development team focused on biotherapeutics. This lab-based role involves performing particle characterization and supporting formulation development from preclinical through commercialization stages. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with biophysical and biochemical techniques and a strong understanding of biologics.
Key Responsibilities
- Support formulation development for biotherapeutics including monoclonal antibodies, ADCs, proteins, mRNA, and vaccines.
- Perform particle and stability characterization using techniques such as:
- DLS, DSC, SEM
- HPLC (SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, RP-HPLC)
- Capillary electrophoresis (CGE, iCE)
- Spectroscopy, light obscuration, microflow imaging
- Assist with lab operations: ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and participating in lab inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize formulations and support candidate progression.
- Compile and present data; support documentation including reports and SOPs.
- Use lab-based systems such as Empower and electronic lab notebooks for data collection and tracking.
- Communicate effectively with scientists, project managers, and cross-functional colleagues
Basic Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 1+ years of industry experience with particle characterization techniques (e.g., microflow imaging, DLS, DSC).
- Familiarity with biologics and their analytical characterization.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HPLC, capillary electrophoresis, and other analytical tools.
- Strong computer skills and familiarity with lab-based software.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and present data clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
