As a Sensor Scientist on our team, you will support the development of new sensor technologies and sensor data analytical methods for a range of energy applications, such as creating three-dimensional maps of critical mineral deposits, by providing advice and guidance on the design, evaluation, and management of government and private sector sponsored Research and Development ( R & D ) programs.Your insights will also help inform our clients about emerging sensor technology needs.You will e nga ge and collaborate with a group of technology experts to leverage rapidly maturing technologies from other sectors to further energy technology development. You Have:
- 5+ years of experience authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences on research pertaining to sensors or sensor data analysis
- Ability to travel up to 15%of the time
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Doctorate degreein a Physical Science field
Nice If You Have:
- 2+ years of experience in postdoctoral, academic, or industry roles related to subsurface imaging, borehole logging, core assaying, geophysical characterization, quantum sensors, or artifi cia l intelligence for analyzing sensor data
- Experience in a consult ing or advisory role
- Ability to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness when dealing with uncertainty and ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking
- Possession of excellent communication, organizational, client service, and analytical skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individuals particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
