Junior Chemist

As an Analytical Technician, you'll play a key part in ensuring product integrity through advanced testing and analysis in a GMP-regulated chemical manufacturing environment. • Perform raw material, in-process, and finished product testing using wet chemistry, gas chromatography (GC), and GC-MS.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments including autoclaves, viscometers, pH meters, and NIR spectrometers.
• Record and manage batch data accurately in SAP, ensuring full compliance with GMP standards.
• Conduct routine calibrations and troubleshoot analytical equipment to maintain optimal performance.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve discrepancies and support continuous improvement.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in the lab, ensuring a compliant and efficient work environment.

• Proficient in chemical analysis and raw material testing in GMP-regulated settings.
• Skilled in wet chemistry techniques and physical property testing (viscosity, density, pH, melting point).
• Hands-on experience with GC, GC-MS, and NIR spectroscopy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food, flavor, or chemical manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex analytical data.
• Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.

• Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Experience with saponification, hydroxyl value testing, and chemical standardization.
• Familiarity with viscometers, refractometers, and specific gravity instruments.
• Knowledge of calibration procedures for lab balances and weighing scales.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple testing protocols.
• Understanding of chemical safety and lab best practices.

• Join a close-knit lab team working 12-hour shifts with alternating 48-hour and 36-hour weeks.
• Initial 6-week training period on day shift (8am4pm) to ensure full onboarding.
• Flexible break structure with short breaks available as needed.
• Occasional night shifts may be required based on production demands.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
