The Associate Chemist will support formulation and product development within the Skincare Lab. This temporary position involves hands-on lab work, testing, and documentation related to skincare product development. The role is ideal for a scientifically trained individual looking to gain or expand experience in cosmetic or pharmaceutical lab settings. Key Responsibilities Conduct formulation and batching of skincare products. Perform stability studies and quality control tests, including microscopic analysis. Fill and label samples, and submit requests for microbiological, safety, and evaluation testing. Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records; report findings in a timely and organized manner. Review safety data sheets (SDS) and follow lab safety protocols. Compile and review ingredient lists and documentation for reporting. Operate small-scale lab kettles and handle light lifting (e.g., 5 kg buckets or up to 10 kg boxes). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline. Strong attention to detail, good documentation habits, and ability to follow procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to lift and move light materials and work efficiently in a fast-paced lab environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a cosmetics or pharmaceutical lab setting. Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and follow technical instructions. References that validate reliability and performance in previous lab role s. Certifications None required.
