Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented process engineer to join our team, specializing in the powder metallurgy processes such powder production, pressing and sintering processes. This position requires an individual with experience in developing, optimizing, and maintaining powder metallurgy processes from initial raw material handling to final sintering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and process improvements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize the powder processing techniques such as pressing and sintering processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to pressing and sintering processes.
  • Conduct data analysis on process performance and recommend improvements to increase yield and reduce production costs.
  • Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document process parameters and ensure that manufacturing best practices are followed.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new technologies in the powder metallurgy process.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials/Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related fields.
  • 3-5 years of industrial experience in powder production, pressing, sintering etc. powder metallurgy technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of powder compaction and sintering technologies, including tooling design.
  • Familiarity with process control methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

Desired Qualities:

  • 5+ years of experience of industrial experience powder manufacturing, processing, and/or conducting powder metallurgy processes.
  • Practical experience of the process safety associated with metal powder processing.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems and convince others (management down to operators) that your solution is the right one.
