Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to oversee a diverse range of responsibilities, including Environmental Health, Safety & Security, inventory management, facilities management, and IT support. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory environment, maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency, and supporting the needs of our equipment and facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Environmental Health, Safety & Security:
- Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, addressing any issues promptly.
- Maintain compliance with environmental regulations and health and safety standards.
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory of common supplies, including tracking stock levels and ordering replacements as needed.
- Manage the storage and distribution of supplies required by equipment teams.
- Monitor and maintain inventory for wafer/semi-finished goods and finished goods, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely availability.
- Facilities Management & IT Support:
- Assist in the maintenance and management of laboratory facilities and equipment.
- Coordinate with IT to ensure that all laboratory systems and technology are functioning properly.
- Troubleshoot basic IT issues and escalate complex problems to the IT department as necessary.
- Shipping & Receiving:
- Manage the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming shipments.
- Coordinate the packaging and shipping of outgoing materials, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with shipping regulations.
- Assets Tagging and Audit:
- Maintain accurate records of laboratory assets, including tagging and tracking.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure asset inventory is up-to-date and accurately recorded.
- Order supplies/equipment/tools:
- Place purchase orders for office supplies, lab equipment and tools as needed
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a related field (e.g., Laboratory Technology, Environmental Science) or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of proven experience in a laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and inventory management.
- Basic IT skills, with the ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Certification in laboratory safety or environmental health and safety.
- Experience with asset management systems and auditing processes.
Must be in office 5 days a week.
We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
Salary Range
$102,000-$116,000 USD
