Quality Control Technician Job Description The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting and evaluating raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to identify defects, damage, or deviations from established standards. This role involves assessing the physical and functional attributes of materials, machinery, and products against technical specifications. The Technician will conduct basic testssuch as electrical functionality, reliability, and packaging qualitydocument findings, and produce clear technical reports. Additionally, the Technician will oversee quality inspections during production and collaborate with the Production team to resolve any identified issues. Responsibilities Follow all plant and company safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct thorough walkthroughs to identify areas for improvement. Monitor and manage nonconforming products, reporting anomalies promptly. Collaborate with line operators and plant management to address specification deviations. Identify and log product defects in the designated database. Use appropriate testing equipment to evaluate product quality. Prepare and test samples according to specified requirements. Document and compare test results against established standards. Assist in training plant staff on quality procedures and work instructions. Maintain accurate and current quality inspection records. Validate calibrated devices and support recalibration efforts. Perform incoming inspections as needed. Support investigations related to corrective and preventive actions. Collect trial data as directed. Maintain a comprehensive quality assurance database (e.g., Excel, Word, SharePoint). Consistently meet assigned production standards. Proactively identify and suggest improvements to company systems. Keep the work area organized and free of safety hazards. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Quality control High School Diploma/GED 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint) Experience working in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written Valid Driver's License Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate degree in related field Plastics or Colorant experience Prior experience in quality control Why Work Here?
