Our central laboratory in Indianapolis is dedicated to providing comprehensive testing and bioanalysis services, is looking for a dedicated Medical Laboratory Tech/Scientist (MLT/MLS) to join our team for a long-term career opportunity with our organization to contribute to our mission of delivering quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving.
  • Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
  • Report accurate and timely test results.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Testing production samples on chemistry and Automated Immunology platforms.
  • IVDR remediation support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a CLIA certified or CAP accredited lab.
  • Experience with instrument troubleshooting and calibration.
Additional Nice To Have Skills
  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
  • Prior validation experience.
  • Proficiency with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass a standardized color vision screen.
Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our Indianapolis facility, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, rotating to a Tuesday to Saturday schedule. This allows for a one-day weekend followed by a three-day weekend. The shift hours are 8am to 5pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
