Preparatory Chemist (PFAS and Stable Isotopes); temporary samples (Lepak/Branstrator)

Preparatory chemist assigned to lead the selection, organization, preparation and processing of fish, sediment, water and seston for PFAS analysis, as well as fish and seston for bulk and
compound specific light stable isotopes. Adhere to and maintain lab quality assurance protocols and governing US EPA ORD Standard Operating Procedures.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• (50%) Works with minimal oversight and maintains a clean and orderly workspace
• (25%) Experience preparing and processing bulk light isotope samples
• (25%) Experience preparing and processing fatty acid isotope samples

Required Qualifications:

• Bacheloras in a natural science discipline and at least one year of experience working in a
  professional PFAS laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with sample preparation procedures for PFAS and stable isotope analysis.
