Job Purpose

Coordinate the collection of history batch/sample data to determine opportunities of improvement for Right First Time . Perform a wide variety of complex testing processes to measure products physical characteristics. Use highly sophisticated and precise testing instruments.
Following established procedures and guidelines, test and conduct routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished product, using variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality.

Quality Control Technician - 3rd shift

Key Responsibilities
  • Must follow all established safety rules and procedures.
  • Must demonstrate integrity while performing duties as per companys Code of Conduct.
  • Perform a wide variety of complex testing processes on production batches to measure products physical or chemical characteristics. Tests include, but are not limited to, viscosity, weight per unit of measure, flow, gloss, color characteristics (compared with standards), and various other similar tests.
  • Collect and analyze data from ERP system and inspection plans to determine bad actors.
  • Communicate status of internal and internal issues to stake holders.
  • Help identify potential causes of complaints.
  • Ability to participate and aid in root cause investigations.
  • Take part in the discussion and communication with QA colleagues, provide support on optimizing & standardizing specification and inspection method of finished products.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in science (chemistry/physics or alike) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 - 5 years in a manufacturing support lab, coatings/polymers preferred.
  • Knowledge in aerospace business/AS9100D preferred.
  • Experience in interpreting policies and guidance documents and can correctly apply them as appropriate to related activities.
  • Identify procedural gaps and product risk and where appropriate, recommend contingency plans, and strategies to mitigate compliance
  • Problem solving. Driving effective problem solving and corrective action techniques to resolve quality issues: data driven decision making.
Skille & Abilities

Skills:

  • Analytical skills
  • Customer focus
  • SAP ERP experience preferred, MS applications, lab equipment hardware and software operation, interpretation and trouble shooting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Strong Excel background.
  • Physical testing and application of coatings.
  • Team player works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written with various levels of management and personnel. (Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills)
  • Proficient in math calculations related to quality analysis.

Abilities:

  • Able to work 8 hours per day in standing tasks
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced, continually changing environment.
  • Perform tasks with all required PPE safely and proficiently.
  • Comfortable with changing priorities and making quick, accurate decisions on problems that arise.
  • Time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
