The Institute on Aging (IOA) is a leader in gerontology, dedicated to enhancing understanding of aging issues through research and education. The Institute's faculty are recognized leaders in research that addresses older adults' long-term services and supports and behavioral health needs, and preparing students for leadership and success through interdisciplinary learning and applied experience. The IOA seeks to hire a social scientist (Senior Research Associate 2 rank) to develop research proposals on topics that advance the current research and community engaged partnerships of the IOA, especially those concerning climate vulnerability, intergenerational and affordable housing. A smaller component of this position includes working on current studies about community-based care and administrator turnover. The person in this position will work regularly with IOA faculty, staff, students, and community partners.
This is a variable FTE position, between .5 and 1.0 FTE, starting at .5 FTE, benefits eligible, on a 12 month term of service. This position may be renewed as new grants are awarded. The work environment is flexible, collaborative, and includes community-engaged projects.
