Our client, a leader in the coatings industry, is seeking a Technical Assistant to join their team. As a Technical Assistant, you will be part of the Customer Field and Manufacturing Analytical Team supporting various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** Lab Technician

**Location: Milford, OH**

**What's the Job?**

+ Collaborate with other technical associates to plan, prepare, and execute experiments geared toward root cause analysis of production and line issues.

+ Follow standard lab procedures for sample preparation such as extractions, filtering, draw downs, and centrifugation with guidance from senior team members.

+ Independently complete analytical testing on liquid paints and coated panels utilizing analytical tools such as FTIR spectroscopy, FTIR microscopy, optical microscopy, UV/VIS, etc.

+ Recognize problems and unusual results in their work and enact countermeasures to correct.

+ Maintain the CFM labs by restocking supplies, disposing of waste, coordinating repairs, and ordering materials to replenish inventory.

**What's Needed?**

+ High school education with high school chemistry experience.

+ Computer, mechanical, and mathematical skills.

+ Hands-on laboratory experience is a plus.

+ An associate degree is preferred but not required.

+ Ability to understand, record, and communicate detailed information accurately.
