Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Chemist responsible for maintaining accurate records of incoming raw materials and conducting Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis to ensure quality and compliance. The Chemist will manage reference standards for validated materials, engage in material testing using various techniques, and communicate effectively with other departments regarding raw materials. Key Responsibilities Maintain a precise record of incoming raw materials in the database system. Conduct FTIR analysis on all raw materials to ensure quality and compliance. Collect, document, review, and transfer test results from third-party labs to the Raw Materials Testing Sheet Protocol. Create and manage reference standards for validated and approved raw materials. Participate in raw material testing using FTIR, Vacuum Oven (for LOD), Karl Fisher (for Moisture), and Wet Chemistry. Assist in routine FTIR calibration and System Suitability checks. Engage in daily communication with upper management and other departments regarding raw materials. Ensure safe storage of raw materials and chemicals. Oversee proper collection and disposal of waste materials following QA SOP regulations. Maintain a safe environment in the QA laboratories by staying up-to-date with safety regulations, checking safety equipment, and leading evacuations during emergencies. Keep the current MSDS inventory in the QA laboratories. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field. Experience working in an analytical laboratory. Knowledge of chemistry laboratory materials and chemical safety materials.
