Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to join their team in Chesterfield, MO. The Lab Technician will perform a variety of laboratory tasks, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests and experiments according to established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Prepare reagents, solutions, and media with precision.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, centrifuges, pH meters, and automated analyzers.
- Accurately record, analyze, and interpret data, maintaining detailed and organized laboratory notebooks and electronic records.
- Assist with sample collection, processing, and tracking (e.g., using LIMS systems).
- Monitor and maintain laboratory inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and report complex problems to senior staff.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate findings clearly.
- May assist with the validation of new assays or procedures.
qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
- Some hands-on laboratory experience (academic or professional) is required.
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, solution preparation).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40-50 lbs.
- Experience with specific analytical instruments relevant to the industry (e.g., PCR, HPLC, GC-MS).
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or other regulatory guidelines.
