Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to assist principal investigators in conducting pesticide residue analyses and environmental fate studies. The role involves laboratory testing, preparation of reagents and calibration standards, as well as sample preparation from various matrices such as plants, soil, water, and animals for analysis using HPLC or LC-MS/MS techniques. Responsibilities
- Assist principal investigators in pesticide residue analyses and environmental fate studies.
- Prepare reagents and calibration standards.
- Weigh and prepare samples from various matrices (e.g., plant, soil, water, animal) for analysis.
- Conduct studies under Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Perform QC review of data.
- Interact with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Experience with wet chemistry and calibration of analytical equipment.
- Proficiency in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and GLP documentation and regulations.
- Experience with HPLC or LC-MS/MS techniques.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience or comfort working with radioactivity is a plus.
