Job Purpose:

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for product inspection and testing, the enforcement of manufacturing best practices, and for modification or implementation of new practices to minimize errors and defects in products.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve production issues
  • Conduct product testing and audits
  • Document product tests and corrections
  • Evaluate production operations
  • Perform control checks of panels before crating and oversee project shipping
  • Create and implement monitoring processes
  • Ensure production employees are adhering to standards and safety guidelines
  • Maintain and ensure U.L. 508A listing and NEC compliance
  • Assist with safety compliance

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Must understand quality assurance as well as production technologies and systems
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Must have a good understanding of industry standards impacting inspection and quality control techniques and procedures
  • Can detect issues from among many products and review every aspect of production operation calls for a keen eye for details
  • Must have good time management skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or certificate in electrical or related technical program required
  • Experience in a related field may be substituted for formal education if the experience is specifically relevant to the position

Physical Abilities/Work Environment:

Includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Stooping, standing, lifting, gripping & finger mobility
  • Occasionally exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force
  • Occasional use of power drills and/or operate machine, and ability to inspect small parts,
  • Potential exposure to noise and hazards such as moving mechanical parts and electrical current
