Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to help ensure our food products meet the highest standards of safety and quality. In this role, you'll be hands-on in the production environmenttesting products, identifying issues, and working directly with operations to maintain consistency and compliance. Key Responsibilities Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods Record and evaluate test results against company and regulatory standards Monitor production lines to ensure proper procedures are followed Conduct routine sanitation and quality audits Calibrate and verify testing equipment Identify quality issues and support corrective actions Maintain accurate documentation and quality reports Assist with audits, certifications, and recall readiness Work closely with production and leadership teams to improve processes What We're Looking For At least 1 year of experience in food manufacturing, quality, or a related field Familiarity with GMPs and food safety standards preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies Comfortable working both on the production floor and in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting Work Environment Combination of production floor and office work Exposure to food products and allergens Must follow all safety and PPE requirements EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
