Job Description:

The Method Transfer and Validation Scientist IV: The Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist IV participates on project teams for new products from both internal and external clients. The MTV Scientist IV completes assessments, documentation, troubleshooting, and investigations associated with the qualification of new analytical procedures; provides analytical testing support for pre-commercial manufacturing activities; and provides technical expertise, training, and testing support to other Quality Control Scientist involved in routine testing using qualified procedures.

The Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist V: The Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist V participates on project teams for new products from both internal and external clients, supports method development activities, and provides technical expertise across Quality Control. The MTV Scientist V completes assessments, documentation, troubleshooting, and investigations associated with the qualification of new analytical procedures; provides analytical testing support for pre-commercial manufacturing activities; and provides leadership, technical expertise, training, and testing support to other Quality Control Scientist involved in routine testing using qualified procedures.

Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist IV

• Analyze raw materials, in-process, final container, and stability products according to established procedures, and as directed by the supervisor.
• Record and review data in accordance with GxP to meet regulatory requirements and provide information relevant to product disposition.
• Perform studies to assess product or procedural problems.
• Perform investigations and other forms of troubleshooting.
• Maintain training compliance on all procedures.
• Adhere to the all aspects of plant safety programs and in keeping with GMP's or other regulations.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment in accordance with procedure.
• Demonstrate technical expertise for the execution and qualification of analytical procedures is a must.
• Lead training of new analysts.
• Perform special assignments as directed by supervisor; independently perform tasks with limited supervision.
• Write qualification protocols/acceptance reports and standard operating procedures on new or existing QC material testing requirements as directed by the supervisor or as required by a project team.
• Evaluate and determine the qualification requirements of new analytical procedures according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Serve as a QC Representatives on multidisciplinary internal or external client project teams as directed by Supervisor. Participate heavily in direct internal and/or external client interactions, including communication of results, qualification issues, or incidents; and propose and implement possible resolution pathways.
• Demonstrate QC leadership within the department and outside the department as needed.
• Propose and be capable of defending pathways for improvement of processes and procedures, and suggest resolution on issues such as unexpected results.
• Apply industry regulations to ensure QC and GMP compliance associated with the qualification of analytical procedures.

Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist V (In addition to above) :

• Design and perform studies to assess product or procedural problems with input from the supervisor. Lead or assist in other forms of troubleshooting
• Demonstrate investigational leadership within the department and outside the department as needed.
• Demonstration of technical writing expertise is a must.
• Propose and be capable of defending pathways for improvement of processes and procedures, and suggest resolution on issues such as unexpected results.

Qualifications:

Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist IV:

• Bachlors of Science in Chemistry, Biology or related hard Science required.
• 5 Years Lab experience required.
• 3 Years Pharmacutical Experience Required.
• Method Transfer and Vlidation Experience Desired.
• Lead Experience Desired.
• Functional expertise in Microsoft word, Excel and Manual Dexterity.
• Knowledge, practical application, and understanding of the sciences are necessary to perform the functions of this position.
• Must utilize scientific literature, and make effective written and oral reports that are clear, accurate, and logical.
• Knowledge of chemistry, statistics, computer-assisted data processing, and good-manufacturing practices is desirable.
• Must demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds unassisted.
• Exposure to allergens.

Method Transfer & Validation (MTV) Scientist V( In addition to above) :

• 7 years' lab experience required with BS degree, 5 years' lab experience required with Master's degree, 2 years' lab experience required with PHD.
• 7 years' pharmaceutical experience required, 5 years' lab pharmaceutical required with Master's degree, 2 years' pharmaceutical experience required with PHD.

Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an on-site, full-time position located in Spokane, WA.

• MTV Scientist IV: This position pays $ 77,968.80 to $101,200 annually, depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises.
• MTV Scientist V: This position pays $ 77,968.80 to $113,900 annually , depending on experience, with opportunity for growth, promotion and annual raises
