Our client, a prominent diagnostic laboratory, seeks to welcome a laboratory supervisor with experience in clinical lab testing to their team!
Type of Job: Direct Hire
Salary: $100-$120k DOE plus up to 10% bonus
Schedule: 1st shift, must be able to assist on nights or weekends if needed
Responsibilities:
Manages the day to day operation of the laboratory including scheduling of staff
Hires, trains, coaches, reviews, manages, and terminates assigned staff
Assist in benchwork as needed to ensure production schedules are met
Oversees the checking and transfer of data and takes steps to correct inaccurate data prior to continued processing or release
Identifies process improvements to better meet company and client needs
Serves as a liaison for the laboratory to outside vendors
Assists in the development of a budget and monitors laboratory expenditures
Performs duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies and cGMP expectations, including but not limited to: Facility and equipment maintenance, validation review and approval, training (internal, continuing education, proficiency testing, annual GMP, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biology or similar life science
Prior clinical laboratory management experience
At least 5 years of clinical laboratory testing experience
Knowledge of federal, state and local standards, regulations, guidelines and requirements effecting operations of a clinical reference laboratory
ASCP certification preferred
