Senior Food Scientist

Job Description

Lead end-to-end product development, including formulation, scale-up, and commercialization, of innovative biscuit products through collaboration with lab and pilot plant teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept to commercialization.
• Manage technical aspects of formulation, scale-up, and qualification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, and Regulatory.
• Conduct plant and pilot trials with thorough documentation.
• Develop technical timelines, risk assessments, and manage deliverables.
• Present at gate reviews and I2M (Idea-to-Market) meetings.
• Communicate with stakeholders and influence decisions.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 57 years of product development experience in the food or CPG industry.
• Experience with lab and plant trials, commercialization, and manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of formulation, ingredient functionality, and sensory science.
• Familiarity with I2M or similar innovation processes.
• Excellent project management and communication skills.

Work primarily in a lab setting with some travel required.

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
