Job Description – Research Associate Scientist II, In Vitro Screening
Location: Onsite – Cambridge, MA

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate Scientist II with expertise in in vitro screening to join our dynamic and interdisciplinary lead development team . Our mission is to develop and advance cutting-edge RNAi therapeutics , moving Client programs from target discovery through lead candidate selection .
In this role, you will apply your technical skills in cell and molecular biology to support high-throughput screening, RNA sequencing, and biomarker analysis. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative research environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cell culture using iPSCs, primary cells, and immortalized cell lines to support screening and assay development
  • Conduct high-throughput siRNA screening using qPCR and other cell-based assays
  • Prepare samples for RNA sequencing workflows, including library prep, QC, and sequencing , while maintaining detailed tracking records
  • Support in vivo studies by performing biomarker analysis (e.g., qPCR, ELISA) to assess siRNA activity
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment , manage reagent inventory, and prepare lab reagents as needed
  • Troubleshoot experimental protocols and contribute to continuous process optimization
  • Utilize automated liquid handling systems (e.g., PerkinElmer JANUS, Beckman i7) to support high-throughput workflows in 384-well formats
  • Adapt effectively to shifting project priorities and platform needs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in molecular or cell biology (academic or industry)
  • Proficient in cell culture , nucleic acid purification , and quantification methods such as qPCR
  • Experience with NGS workflows , including sample prep and QC, is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with lab automation systems (e.g., liquid handling platforms) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a high-throughput environment
  • Strong attention to detail , problem-solving skills , and a proactive mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative work style
